From top-left clockwise,

Lights ....10W/18deg masked for traffic! Plus a 20W/12deg Rabbit scarer! They may not look cool but they are very waterproof.

Rear is a £1 slummy bin job from Halfords ....took out the orangey red LEDs and put in the brightest Maplin Red LEDs I could get ....... really looks the biz next to my car rear lightfor comparison .... runs off 12v SLA like the front. If the fronts are on, thenthe rear is on via diodes ....also has a serial mimic on the junction box on the bars to show me the rear is functioning! I have a conventional steady/blinky in the bag too as back up.

Each front has its own switch right next to the changers, one on the left, one on the right. Quick flick of the thumb does it.

12V/4.5AH brick on ali plate, just forward of the rear carrier. Fused, and easy to remove if needed. Short trailing plug for recharging without removal.

KK would i be right in saying they are 12v pond lights? hence the VERY waterproof?

looks good! far more durable than mine! what run time do you get out of your battery? i get around 1 3/4 hours with both beams on. or double if i have the packs in parallel.

another source for lights is car spotlights.... cheap and with mounting point. some of them take the MR bulbs like yours too

Yeh! B&Q Pond lights .... made by Ring ...... very waterproof andis supplied with a 20w bulb.... 20W does even seem to get the polycarb housing more than lukewarm ....could possibly take 35W ..... but I find 20W just right on the tracks. I got them in a 20% sale for around £20 for the pair.

Must investigate that Decostar business!

Over 3 hours ...... with a combo of about 50% of each bulb on (20W/10W) ..... plus the rear (1/4W) ..... haven't tried it longer than that yet!

I'm going to look at ways to mount the lights lower down nearer the bottom of the head tube.

Cheers, KK.
