Hi, my sister-in-law has a Kyo L3v that won't stay on, won't take pictures, etc. A few seconds after starting up, a horizontal line appears in the display and the camera freezes. I've pulled out the batteries and SD card, let it sit for a few minutes and tried restarting, but no improvement.

Any ideas on how to do a "hard reset" of the camera? I asked her if she'd dropped it and she said, "not much." She doesn't keep it in a case, either. Smart!

Thanks!

What you using CR-V3 or AA? If AA are they Alkaline or rechargeable.

Reason I askis ...... it sounds like battery trouble.

Has the camera a reasonable good prior history of working .....and then suddenly stopped? Or is it relatively new and possibly a duff one (or duff battery)?

Come back to me, KK

I'll suggest that she change the batteries, although she claimed that they were freshly charged. Basically, it just stopped working after several months of good service.

Thanks for the reply!

Time to give your local Kyocera retailer/Kyocera Agent/Service centre a call (preferably in that order!)

Cheers, KK
