I think that with the exception of some distortion mostly noticable on buildings the quality and sharpness of the pictures are comparable to the ones taken without the DCR720.

Considering that the models that might give better linearity are about 3 times more expensive and more i think this lens is quite good.

Any one feel free to point out any defects you notice.

I will post more if I don't bore you.

Bye

Hi Gerrard ..... have you seen this .....

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=19

especially the later images.

I find the 100% extracts the most revealing .... you can loose quite a lot on a resize and jpg compression. That is why I try to provide 1/3 resized whole frame and 100% extracts.

It would be interesting to see some360 x270 pixel extracts (i.e. not resized) from the top left hand corners of the 1st and last shots ..... with as littlejpg compression as possible to fit the 250K limit .... if you had the time to do it!

I know we are not comparing like for like ....but the old Yashica Aux is a little beaut ...if only a 0.8x rather than a 0.72x.

Here is a nice page ..... http://www.pbase.com/ociepka/lens...... i want a 6600Pro!

Cheers, KK

Yeah! ....but the ones I've seen introduce little "jaggies" .... not a lot ...but a little ....no doubt the software you pay for gives better results than the freebies!
