reading again what you wanted kk , I did not follow your instruction with regard the pixel count. If you need exactly that I will post them.

No problem Gerrard .... this is what I wanted to see ...... I am assuming they are extracts from original at 100% size....the figures I quoted were only suggestions.

You will have seen reports of barrel distortion from the Raynox ... there appears to be some CA too. I guess you can't expect miracles from a budget lens.

Cheers KK

p.s. 7250 shots from the M410R ...... that's some shooting since you got it!

Hi KK

I've done double that as I had resetted the camera at about that figure once before.I take a lot of burst mode pics of my kids. It helps a lot to capture really great pics when they are mostly anaware.

I think the lens is good enough for me .The images where you can notice the defects you mentioned are about 1/6 of the actual pic enlarged to about 8 X 10 ins. so probably even if you print 8 X 10 inc photos they will be only slightly noticable. Whats more interesting is corrcting the distortion created for pics of buildings in software-I will go into that.

Bye

G

G

Glad you finally got the lens. The results are good for the price of the 720. Can not believe how many pics you have taken with the camera....if i lived out there i guess i would have taken a lot more too

Tony

No connection with me :-)...just thought someone might be interested! A good deal for a modest extra 0.8x conversion wide angle lens lens with a tele thrown in too (do we need it with 370mm equiv + 4x digital on top?)

Cheers, KK

They are 55mm thread ...... so you would need a 52>55mm stepping-ring to use them on the Kyocera supplied adapter.

As you might remember, I use a home made adapter ring made from a 49>55mm stepping ring and two blank 55mm filters .... so all my Contax accessories just screw straight on.

I get very good results from the wide-angle (search other topics in this forum) ... I don't bother using the tele.

Cheers, KK.
