Wolfgang,

Why don't you like the flash outside?

Wolfgang

I think I understand what you say about the mode dial being shakey .... in an up-down direction .....I think you have a faulty camera .....you could always compare the camera to the Kyocera model ....they are identical except for colour of camera- silver instead of black (and the lens is supposed to have HFT coating).

Cheers, KK

Hi Wolfgang,

I have a m410r and I can confirm that on mine the mode dail has a slight up and down movement. I have had the cam for about four months now and its been like that since new. I dont think you should worry a lot about it but if you can compare with another model to make shure its ok go ahaed.

Bye and good luck with your new cam

I want to thank everybody who replied this fast to my question (problem). I think I wait for another Rollei or Kyocera to come my way, and then I can compare. Untill then I will just ignore it and use the cam as normal.

Cheers Wolfgang Wolters

@Ian,

I think it makes pictures look unnatural. If I had used Fillflash for the face of my son, it would have looked strange (it was 6:30 pm, no sun, getting dark).

Fillflash in bright light will be fine, but not when its getting dark, I think.

Cheers Wolfgang

Yep

I see what you mean, it does look more natural the way you have taken it!

Update to mode dial:

I sent a mail to Rollei support in Germany. They replied it would be normal, that the mode dial is a little shaky due to some sort of production process (free translation).

Cheers Wolfgang

p.s. I saw a thread where the people put some pictures (in kyocera/yashica. Is this the right place to put one or two interesting pictures? Or are there other places as well??:?:

Sure ...you can put pictures here or in any other topic....or you could start a new topic.

Just click where it says Kyocera/Yashica above and on the right hand side of the screen near the top (just under red line) is "New Topic". Resize your pictures to about 750pixels x 500pixels to fit on most screens without scrolling sideways.

Cheers, KK
