Hi all I have had this "problem" with some of my shot especially at full zoom and not ideal lighting ie cloudy and dull days. I try and put some pic.Itscommon to a lot of multi zoom cameras. I noticed it on pictures from a Fuji 5100 takenin excellent conditions.

I adj the pic levelsbelow with photoshop.

thanks for all the info guys!

i guess this is a slightly common problem... and i guess its not real vignetting? maybe its light fall off from the lens? whats your best guess KK? Tony? i guess its not a real issue and can be made to dissappear with a small amount of effort?

im still very happy with the results.... im not sure why i now have to adjust the levels on some pics, maybe i have never shot really dull conditions like that before?but like i say if im getting 1/700th second shutter in dull conditions.... then great!

heres another piccie or 2! 1st one lovely scene of sun on sea.

2nd close up of a duck... full zoom bit of a pot shot as he wouldnt stay still.... about 8ft away!

I really can not say why the darkening happens in the corners and since we all seem to have the problem to some extent it is something we gotta put up with and correct with software or by cropping. Still a smashing lil camera though.
