OK....let's shift the OT bits about macro/close-up to

....to save clogging up the Panoramics topic.

See you there!:-)

That Autostitch is very interesting .... quite impressive.

I noticed two things ........ it appeared to desaturate parts of the images as it tried to match the picture elements. It can't cope with my Owl or Egret panning shots.......... I love the way it tries to make sense of the owl movement, superbly coping with the background, but then putting a little ghost image in .... in some places ....where the owl should be ....very spooky.

An excellent program for the busy photographer who wants a no frills panoramic ....... but I am willing to spend the time to control the factors manually ....and the results do show that it is worth it.

Love the shots, though, that you all posted!

Cheers, KK

It would beinteresting seeing how cs deals with the owl / egret one too. it deals well with the stationary but moving objects (does that make sense?) but i havent got any with the proper moving subjects.

now i know how to do these i guess i'll be doing plenty more and here was me worrying it was going to be hard!!!! he he he

I've played with it a bit and I gotta say that I'm impressed. I think it over compress the output, but for the price and the drop dead simpleness of this software I think if pretty darn great!

I havent figured out how to link directly to it, but it's in this collection:
http://daved.fotopic.net/c537584.html
It's a compilation of just 5 shots, but it turned out okay for a first attempt.
