This is one of my favorite cameras because of its small size, but it won't work now because I get a closed flash message. The flash is indeed closed, and no manipulation of the flash button will open it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there is a way of switching off the automatic pop-up mechanism for the flash ..... if it does not rise on switch on ..... then it's back to the service depot ...I'm afraid to say!

Bought my first digital camera from (blush) HSN at least 10 years ago and it and all subsequent ones still work fine. I have no idea where to look for repair services. Any suggestions? Not too anxious to send it all the way across the Pacific.

Hi Silverlining ......... that's a real "glass-half-full" type of name!

Where in the world are you? ...and I will try to find your depot details.

If you do not want to reveal your whereabouts on this forum ....send me a private message by clicking on my name (in yellow ...on the left).

Cheers, KK
