One day I might get a replacement ...if naffin' Dixons ..... the insurance company's preferred(!) supplier .... ever contact me to say .... something like ..... "What's a Contax?".

Three phone calls to Royal Insurance (More Than) to complain that Dixons have not called me regarding the photographic gear I lost. Who do I complain to that Royal Insurances phone calls to Dixons are ineffective!

On a lighten note .... He! He! .... the new Boneshaker has arrived!

Cheers, KK

Thanks, Tony ......... a decent Oxford "curly" wire lock came with the bike ..... great if I get a chance to lock it BEFORE it gets stolen!

Hmmmm just thought ....what if Dixons offer me a U4r instead of a SL300RT* ...they are the same price ......... I think I'll ask my Kyocera contact his opinion. Anyone got a U4r? ..... any good or bad points you'd like to share?

Cheers, KK

Hi, its about time I posted another picture.

This one is just another autumn color shot.

However I have been learning a bit more about photo-shop and have found the

results can be improved.

KK, I hope you can sort out your camera replacement , I took your advice and try ed

to buy the lens set on e-bay but missed out, the final bidding took place while I was

asleep. I would be interested in a 3x tele but have not been able to find out about

its quality. Cheers to all.

Thanks kk. This pic is a Toadstool growing out of a tree.

I have been trying to gainmax sharpness in Photo-shop useing a separate layer

and the unsharp mask.

Please tell me if you think the image is too sharp. The camera is on standard and I

intend to set it at - sharpness and use the unsharp mask for the job. Cheers.

It looks fine to me .... I can see no obvious artifacts .... but I'm not an expert at the technique you describe. Maybe the only way to tell on this forum is to send a life-size (100% of original) selection of the image.

Another nice shot!

Cheers, KK

Pleased about that KK. This shot is of a new hen,we have two others, its a snapshot

as it flew the coop and had to be caught. I don't have a clue about the settings

except it was on 100 asa FullTele macro.

I have used the same tec to get it sharp. Cheers.
