..the M410 is a nice little camera but mine just gulps batteries. I'm using NiMH 2200's and i'm lucky to get 25-30 shots. I've tried other 2000 /2100's so its not a bad set of batteries...

Anyone else have problems with it ???

...nowKyocera have gone 'under' as far as cameras are concerened - is there anywhere where i could get it serviced...???

...... unless, of course, they are all poor sets .... or you have a poor charger

Seriously, my 2350mAH ..... several sets...... are fine for over a hundred or more shots ....I've never really counted, to be honest ..... so the figure is a conservative estimate! It does take several chargings for NiMH to develop full charge potential. I know I have filled the same 512MB card several times experimenting in movie mode, on one charge of the above batteries .... now that was quite impressive!

If I have suspected that a set have given poor life on occasion, a test meter has revealed that usually one cell is near flat, and the others are fine..... presumably the one did not get charged properly.

Where in the world are you ... I might be able to direct you to the service depot. There should be no problem anywhere in the world getting Kyocera/Yashica/Contax equipment serviced.

Cheers, KK.

Check the voltage of all 4 cells when they are charged .....should be around the 1.4v and should be pretty even in voltage. Then check all 4 when the camera is first showing signs of being low on juice. If one cell is showing lower than the others, it could be a poor cell ....or the contacts in one of the positions in the charger could be a little dirty.

Hope that helps

Cheers, KK

Hi ppl,

My power solution for my M-410R is a sony AA / AAA charger that came along with a 2300mAh batteries set of four, andbought another set (4x ) of camelion 2500mAh. Keep both the batteries charged, and keep the spare set in a warm place, specially in very cold weather. My power solution (two sets of 4x batteries) gives me about 250 shots with flash and occasional LCD, and more than 500 shots in day time outdorrs!
