Kyocera is selling its products in Pakistan as well. They are advertising in newspapers and have a small dealer network. Some digital camera shops however, are saying that these cameras are made in China and are not original Kyoceras. These shops are also implying that these "fake Kyoceras" have questionable results.

Who knows where the "original" ones are made ....may not be Japan .... might even be China!

What models exactly are being sold in Pakistan? Can anyone research a list for me?

Here is an extract from my Yashica Family Tree chart ...showing the "clones" I've found. If anyone can show me that any of these are "real" Yashicas/Kyoceras ...I'd be very happy to hear from you.

Fakes are almost certainly going to be of poor quality ....after all, the object of the fake is to make as much money as possible while putting as little investment in as possible .... result - a totally [email protected] camera!

Cheers, KK.

Thanks Mikhael

I knew about that camera ......BUT .......it lead me to 3 new 2006 cameras from the company that no longer makes cameras .....Ha! Ha!

EZ Digital 5032 and 6031 out of Hong Kong...and from Brazil, an EZ Digital 3011 clone with more pixels ...the Yashica "Splendor"!

Splendid ...even! You've got to love those Brazilians ....no XXXX numbers for them ...... they now like the "Poetic" and the "Classy" and the "Memories" ..... Ah! Bless them!

Oh! How we chuckled when Contax brought out the "Aria" !:-)

Cheers, KK.
