hey tom!
beautiful! i'd hardly say this is "just another sunset" shot...it's very nice, and simple...simple is better ![]() ![]() if you can, try shooting panoramas using a stitching technique, instead of cropping, then they'll have higher resolution, and you'll be able to print it bigger ![]() Vito |

One more... The composition was inspired by (stolen from) a shot on Amy's website. Credit to her. Imitation is the highest form of compliment.
I had some troublestraightening this image, as neither the shorelineor the trees were level. I drew a bead on the sunlight's reflections and hoped for the best. I think the conflicting diagonals are a bit problematic, which is why I chose to crop this image in the first place. Another reason for the crop is that the gull and the ducks are a lot more prominent in this composition. They really disappeared in the original shot. As always, your comments help me to learn more. Thanks, Vito.
I have tried panos, but with limited success so far. Using Elements' Photomerge often leaves colour banding at the stitch points. My Brother-in-law does his by hand, matching colours by eye before merging layers. It looks a lot better, but takes a lot longer. Thanks again. Regards, Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada |

search downloads.com...
you should be able to find one, that's limitation ISN'T a watermark placed in your images... panorama factory is VERY good....but the free version places a nice watermark in the middle of your image.... unless you buy it...lol, then it's limitless, and amazing..no watermark ![]() Vito |

Good evening,
I have used both ArcSoft Panorama Maker, which came bundled with my Nikon Coolpix 995 and Photosuite Platinum 7 to make panoramas. Both work well with no banding and both will output to .jpg or .tif and can be set up to crop as desired. This one was made with ArcSoft from four images. |
