hello all

not been around much over past weeks due to work/flu/and having not many new pics

these 3 are all new all from the same day a week or so ago

sorry but u will have to scroll

the second one called road to nowhere gave me the most hassel in trying to join up due to the difference in colour in the sky did my best with it and am quite happy with results

for those who like to know the info.........all shots taken by hand (no tripod) and joined togehter and adjusted in photoshop

also sorry to people with slow connections as i left images a bit large

Nice shots. You did a great job "joining" the images. #1 is my favorite.

Those are all lovely, I like #2 a lot, it's a very strong image IMO. Reminds of a day I tried to drive from Doncaster to Whitby and had to give up 'cos I couldn't even see the white lines in the road for the fog!

big thank you to all

looks like the hours i put into number 2 "road to nowhere" where worth it, at first look i thought it was impossible.....but with patiance and a little bit of wizzardry it as come out looking very respectable, the other 2 posed no probles really.

there is nothing worse than when u think u gotta decent shot to find out how bad it actualy is once opened ready to join !

all 3 are great shots...but like the others i like the 2nd shot best...the 3rd is awesome as well!

Corpsy Dec 18, 2005 2:19 PM

I'm curious, what is the full resolution on that 2nd image? I hope you've printed it nice and large and hung it on the wall in a nice frame. I'll bet you could sell prints of it if it's sharp enough.

I would suggest a different name though. The name "Road to Nowhere" suggests a kind of hopelessness, whereas this image has a very serene and mysterious look to it. Maybe call it the "Road to Somewhere", letting people speculate about where the "somewhere" could be.

i got it printed and framed allready it looks real good, frame is 12inch by 36 inch.

the title was just a working one .......and a kind of joke as the road is from yorkshire into the next county lancashire......hence road to nowhere......its a local thing stems back from medievil times when the house of york used to battle with the house of lancaster.......but thats another story :-)

i normaly name them so people know where they are ....but nothing made more sense at the time
