Ain't it a shame to be living where the sun sets and rises over a body of water!
Reminds me of Hawaii. Aloha, great shot. |

This is great and the water is very pretty but it is just a shame about the overhanging branches, they are a real eye soar for me. Maybe you could retouch them out?

I agree - while foreground stuff can add depth to a scene for my tastes this works better without the branches.

... and I had to walk miles of empty beach to find a driftwood to 'add depth to a scene'!

Very nice shot (the first one), a pitty with the branches, but I can see you did it on purpose. I think the idea with the sun in one of the sides is very good, the second shot fails because of the ordinary "sundown" look! If you get my meaning!

Sublime sunset...
I like the first better....I like the wood "frame". After all....sunsets on the water and driftwood... are like.... Bogey and Bacall. ![]() |

How about from this angle?
... but the open sky created a lighting problem for the 'depth to a scene' driftwood (time for Photoshop?). ![]() BTW it's kind of hard to shoot a sunset from the East coast of the US! ![]() |
