Well, we went to Moab, Utah again this year. Spring is a great time to go. The temperature is great (around 70F) and the mountains are still snow-capped, making for nice pictures. This is the almost mandatory :-) Delicate Arch at sunset. There are always a lot of photographers there. They get upset if people start posing under the arch right before the sun disappears :-)

The light on the first is wonderful. A wonderful place for a photographer to visit.

great shot... i can't help but wonder if a polarizer wouldn't have helped with contrast between sky and landscape, though... just my 2 cents' worth....

Thanks all!
Both shots were taken on the same day, and it actually wasn't that great for pictures. It was hazy during the day, and only started to clear up a bit at sunset. But yes, a polarizer might have helped the first shot. BTW I'm almost positive I took the second shot with a polarizer. It was taking in the middle of the day, probably didn't help much because of that. Barthold |

This one of the reasons I love this website......to see photos from all around the world that I probably will never see in person. Keep them coming! The shots are beautiful and fascinating.:|
