This is the ancient city, Ayutthaya, second capital for Thailand. 2 hours drive away from Bangkok.

Nice shots vuzu, but what happened to all the ladies heads in the statues, vandalized or just aged and crumbled?

According to my guide book, those buddhas' head were being chopped off during the war between Myammar and Thailand. Thousand of buddhas, temples and Pagodas were destroyed during the war.

Very interesting location and I suspect a long history as well. The damage is very sad and continues today, most recently in the middle east where many famous & spectacularBuddha's were destroyed.....
