This is the pic I have posted to these forums. I tried to use the fence at the bottom to show the scale of the smoke, not sure if it worked or not. I think my aperture setting (F3.6) was wrong for this pic too - wish I'd done it with a smaller one now. Anyways, I'm keen to hear what people think of this pic and possible improvements.

Welcome to the forum from the landa wondah land down undah! ![]() Below you will find my take on your pic. I probably overworked the colors a bit...was trying to bring out the smoke a little more. |

Digcamfan - thanks for having a crack at retouching my pic - the colors certainly do look better than the original! I noticed you cropped out the fence at the bottom... kinda answersmy question about that for me too! Thanks for your feedback.

AlanT- I wasn't sure if I should include them in the frame or not when taking the pic. The grass around the fence proved irresistable to the camera's autofocus, when I really wanted the whole pic in focus.
