I seem to have spent the last couple of weeks wandering around woodland looking for Autumn colour and some nice reflections and not finding much. Ok that's an exaggeration, but these recent shots are still remarkably green for this time of year!
The first one is of the Tavistock Canal: |

And then the Cam canal: not much more than a muddy puddle these days sadly!

nice composition on this one (#1).. prefer its composition to #2... and i really like the autumn greens on bothshots.. it looks as if you could use a little sharpening maybe??

John, number 1 is a great shot. Would like to see what is would look like either with a soft glow, or sharpened slightly, but it is a winner anyway!

Nicely done John. Really like number 1. With the weather change today (temperature wise) I think we will soon see the real colour change.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
Dustin and John: if the first one looks a little soft it's because I didn't have my tripod with me, and it was remarkably dark under those trees! Unfortunately a walking-stick improvised as mono-pod didn't work out as well I'd hoped, and this was one of the few non-fuzzy ones I salvaged :O Mark: you're right about the colour change, with these cold nights the leaves won't last much longer I sadly ... Regards, John. |
