Bad weather photography. Well, you might as well enjoy rain since there is very little to do about it. Rain dance I´ve heard about but I never heard of any "Sun dance". And there is a saying; "What doesn´t kill you makes you stronger" In the rain context it would be "...makes you wetter". What´s really wrong with that? At least it does very seldom kill anyone No, I have never bought an umbrella. Sometime people forget umbrellas for different reasons though... I was hiding in the bushes near the old opera house. If you would have had the decency to come here sometime you would´ve known :-) Now to something more important. Your picture "Dancing in the rain" or perhaps if I may "Capture in the rain" is really great. The sharpness is far far better... I´ll go over there or I´ll run because of that constant... "Capture in the rain, da da dadada da" "What are you, a rain lover, a..., come on here I´ll give you... That´s life, musket . Cheer up Torgny |

Ha ha!! well said, you knowI pulled the little F20 out of my pocket held it in my
right hand and cupped my left hand over it to keep the rain of the lens, the rest was PP to brighten up and sharpen the photo. The weather is still very unpredictable here, we need to learn to sing and dance in the rain, so long as it's not a rain dance :-)...............musket. |

musket,
Was it really the F20? Amazing cameras the F10 -> F31. I was going to ask you what sharp fixed Nikon lense? http://forums.steves-digicams.com/forums/ view_topic.php?id=573002&forum_id=62 I have both F20 and F31. They are at the moment performing (showing off) at my computer table; not so popular with, (at) my steady reationship with the dear dslr that lies on the kitchen table. Well, a little variation may be allowed You are quite a post processor. What´s your best flow for brightening up a picture in PSCS2. If you have the time any time /T |

Yes it was the F20. But not all pictures it takes have potential to make more of in PP.I haven't got a preset work flow routine. I'm still very much experimenting and learning as I go along. I haven't got PS2 or any of the Adobe photo programmes I often use tools in various programmes on the one photo, a lot of trial and error and sometimes get it right :-). Ithink looking at a photo to see if it has potential comes first. and then to useone's experience with the various toolsyouhave become accustomed to over a period of time and working with thosethat you're having some success withis the best advice I can give about PP. It would be nice if there were a universal solution, we could then batch do everything and save time......So far I haven't found it :-).............musket. PS I wonder how much PP it will take for digital to catch up to film. http://www.diax.nl/pages/start_mamiya_nikon_uk.html I see one of those Mamiya 7 on auction on Ebay now, wish I had the cash :-) |

![]() musket, Workflow: Yes, I guess that´s what we all have to do, but I am always worried that I do things in the wrong order. Well, that makes it essential to save the original file wether it is .jpeg or preferable RAW That Mamaya is quite a hefty device, a little heavy to bring on a hiking tour though. Met a man a couple of days ago with a digital Hasselblad (they are manufactured in this town) Price 32000 euros. Surpringly it was rather light, even felt a bit plasticky. Sensor; 36 Mpxl /T |
