I would like to know how you did that too because my eyes would have been popping out of their sockets after such a painstaking edit session!

I guess I didn't realize that was supposed to be difficult...
I used the magic wand to select the sky (which was mostly white around the trees), reduced the selection by 1 pixel so I wouldn't get any tree parts, and deleted it (the sky). I then copied the sky from a different photo, enlarged it so it would fill the entire area and pasted it into a layer behind the trees. It just worked. Maybe I should changed the reflection to match the clouds now  mactek |

I'm not so sure that the reflection is all that far off. The angle of thecamera, angle of light, etc will alter reflections so ifone didn't see the original, I doubt they would be able to tell that the reflections were out of sync with the clouds without really close examination.
If I were to try to enhance this picture any, I would concentrate on trying to recover some of the details lost in the shadows without disturbing the highlights. |

hope you don't mind if i used your shot to experiment a bit in PS. i have tried to "reconstruct" some clouds details adding some noise, then adding some distorsion, then blurring end then adjusting levels and saturation.....here is the result. i am not good with the magic wand as you can see :-(

Ok, since I have had no luck enhancing the original sky, I went outside and took a new sky photo that was similar to the original sky. I then used the "extract" tool to remove the sky. Extract works even better than the magic wand!
Hope this one meets approval :-) mactek |
