It's hard to keep up with things here, I haven’t posted my favourite landscape yet and we are already on cloudscapes. They all look fabulous and such different perspectives.
This is one of my favourites because I wanted a simple treatment to suit the simple and tranquil setting of The Ring of Brodgar – 36 upright stones (originally 60) setup in a 340 foot diameter circle 3500 years ago on a small windswept island called Orkney (off the northern coast of Scotland in the UK). ![]() |

The shaft of light thru the clouds is stunning.
Costas, the Orkney island photo 'rocks'. I get a pruple fringe on my screen around some of the rocks but I think that just adds to the mystery behind them. |

Thanks selvin, I think you are right about a fringe. I will try scanning the negative again, didn't notice last night when I scanned it but it could have been the room lighting or tired eyes more like.
