Hi All,

I took this shot in a cold and misty morning inside the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, the fourth emperor of Nguyen dynasty. I used Irfanview to sharpened the photo so it is not quite soft as the original one.

Quan

Lovely Quan. It's too bad there wasn't a bit ofblue sky the day you took this - oh well, we can't always get what we want right? Well composed, nice that you included the reflection in the frame.

What a beautiful building and surroundings. The tiles on the roof, the terrace, the wall near the building, the trees, the water - allincredibly lovely, and so tranquil too.

Thank you for posting - a real treat.

Hello All,

Thanks for stopping by and comments. I went to thetomb area about 10:00in the morning and itwas about to drizzle. Yeah, I wish the day hadbeen clearer.

Hi squirl033, the ladders could be a boat landing where the emperor and his concubines went rowing in the lake and writing verses. It is said that in the history book thatthe emperorsufferred from smallpox when he was young and this led to his latersterilizationsowhen he was depressedheleft the Forbidden cityto this mausoleum with his concubines to relax.

Regards,

Quan
