The sun was setting over the Western Bay in my hometown of Dungarvan, Ireland and producing spectacular colours. So of course I grabbed the camera and headed out.
All of the shots were taken with a Canon 10D using the Canon 100-300mm lens. There was no post-processing or touching up done short of extracting the Jpeg file from the Raw image. Everything is "as shot". http://www.dan.fotodock.co.uk/p9917961.html http://www.dan.fotodock.co.uk/p9917964.html http://www.dan.fotodock.co.uk/p9917956.html http://www.dan.fotodock.co.uk/p9917957.html http://www.dan.fotodock.co.uk/p9917958.html Sorry for all the links instead of posting the actual photos, but the files are all larger then 250kb and I have already worn out my patience uploading them to my photo-sharing site! Hope you don't mind clicking the links and feel free to look round the rest of the site! Hope you like them! |

Hey, i'm nowhere near good enough on photoshop to get that level of detail into a picture! The photos really are "as shot". The wholehorizon wasn't giving those colours, just the small section where the sun was setting. Most of the shots were taken at the full 300mm fcal length to isolate just the sunset. If the whole sky had those colours I would have taken a panoramic picture with a 28mmlens! |

Hey redundo...:-)
I am sorry if you inferred that I suggested you had edited the shot re the red on the water. Not my intent at all...lol I just really liked what your camera captured! |

Looks very tropical with the red water effect (however natural) and that makes it all the more appealing. Very easy on the eyes. Best regards,
