"digcamfan" has brought up an excellent point. There's actually a large market for all the arts. Granted, it's what you'd call commercial, but we're unlikely to be both purist and well fed. Photography is found wherever you look: magazines, newspapers, greeting cards, posters, at stock agencies, and each of these can be broken down into smaller areas. Article illustration, advertising, news, various categories for posters and greeting cards. These are thoughts from a very tired person who's nearly non-thinking at the moment, so I'm sure I left out huge areas.
Pick up Photographer's Market at the library and page through it. Maybe we should all do that. |

they are very very beautiful...makes me wish that i live near a beach and forest most of the time...
