Been there done that - no tripod and looking for somewhere to prop the camera. The shot does have a sort of surreal effect to it tho. |

Here is recent trio of pics of a lighted fountain in Honolulu to give you some idea of what the impact on the output is for Handheld ![]() Tripod ![]() and Tripod with color correction for tungsten lights. This is closer to what the fountain actually looks like at night. ![]() The comparisons are not 100 valid because the wind was blowing like crazy at times and passing cars sometimes added extra lighting, but I think you can see the differences. But in some perverse way the handheld uncorrected picture looks good and may even be better than the others. So - don't toss out that shot. |
