I've been rading the archives for these.
I live just on the edge of Dartmoor here, which for the non-brits is an area of high ground, wilderness, peat bogs and rocky outcrops. I love the area dearly, but it does tend to be a bit featureless for photography, so mostly I've been trying to capture the view of the moors from the surrounding countryside. This sequence of shots all show the same section of moor, taken as the seasons change. We'll start with last autumn/fall: this was a "stop the car I want to get out!" moment :-) The roadside hedges turned out to be higher than I antisipated, so I had to hold the camera over the top of my head, point and hope for this one! Still, I do like a nice rainbow :-D |

A few minutes later, I took a more composed shot, the rainbow had sadly gone, but the passing rainclouds still looked pretty dramatic.

And then springtime.
This is taken from the same farmers gate as shot #2. This would have looked better at a later time of day, but the farmer was quite rapidly bailing up his cut hay when I arrived, so I had to grab this one quick before it all disappeared. |

And finally on to high summer.
In some ways this is a bit of a nothing shot, but I just like the pattern of fields speading up the hillside. Anyway, that's all folks! Regards, John. |

The first and second one are beautiful. The colors give them an atmosphere of coming autumn!
Anyway, all of them show beautiful countryside. jp80 |
