Well, it isn't my backyard, but it is right behind my house. And vito, I lived in NJ for 7 years too in a much denser area than where you live... Bayonne!

lol...yeah....lakewood has gotten very built up....have you been here lately? (nj..not necessarily lakewood).....it's crazy...a lot of "brooklyn" commuters...

I was just there briefly (Newark Airport) last fall. Bayonne, I heard, never changes. The turnpike was as crowded as ever and the airport arriving flights curbside pickup is the craziest and wildest of any airport I've been at.
There are some wonderful sites in NJ for birding if you want to do some (longish) daytrips. There's Cape May at the southern tip and the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge near Chatham. For migrating hawks in spring/fall you can just do a short trip into eastern Pennsylvania to Hawk Ridge. |
