Went for another short trip, spent the entire afternoon travelling going to this nice location and back home.
This series is about the last day of winter, went to Fort-Coulonge, QC, Canada and went to see the falls. The place was close, but I decided to walk through the gate and see and take shots of the glory of nature, while still frozen. All shots were taken with the kit lens, ISO100, used the tripod in some, others were hand held. This photo is the first thing we see when we arrive : ![]() A closer look : ![]() Went further down and saw this, when I saw it for the first time, I said "neat !" : ![]() Another view - This is a combination of 3 shots taken with a tripod at different exposure at F/22 with the kit lens at 18mm #2630 was at 1/30 sec #2634 was at 1/40 sec #2635 was at 1/10 sec Shot in RAW, exported in TIFF, layered the 3 image in PS Element, used the eraser tool to bring the best of the 3 exposure. ![]() And another view, looking just to the right of ice formation : ![]() You see those 2 bridge from the last 2 image, here's a perspective view of it : ![]() Further down the fall : ![]() And for last, a view of river going into a tight valley : ![]() It was fun yesterday, beautiful day, sunny, just warm enough and finally... the DRebel is a blast ! After almost 2700 shots, I love it more and more ![]() Larger image here : http://www.bytephoto.com/photopost/s...=1&ppuser=1867 Cheers everyone |

Ahh photosbyvito has the same taste as me
![]() PKchopper and cowboy43 has an interesting point. I took that photo with an intention. I seen through various gallery and photo competition that this kind of photo with a perspective sparks interest amongs photograph in general. I had 2 choice when I took the shot, either I position myself in the center of the wooden bridge, or put emphasis over one railing. I decided to place myself over the right one. So I think it makes an interesting view of it. Now what makes me sad ![]() ![]() ![]() Its ok... its ok... next time I'll just do bridges ![]() Cheers everyone ! |

Thanks Chuck, appreciate it
Since it seems this is a favorite, I took the plunge and added a nice Sepia tone with a frame to it ![]() ![]() I'm participating in a photo contest, hope I have a chance ![]() http://www.bytephoto.com/photopost/s...ry.php?cat=503 ![]() Cheers everyone ! |

even better than the original. Nice touch
It's not that the others are "bad" it's just that this particular picture is "complete". I rather enjoy many aspects of the ice, water and how they effect each other, but it takes work on the viewers part to fully appreciate them. at least IMHO...keep shooting, I enjoy your posts |
