Grey Mare's Tail River

Here's one I played about with in Photoshop. I settled on BW and blurred the background. I think it works? Comments?

cheers
Martin.

Wow, that works very well for me. Exexellent composition with the water running out of the frame and down into my keyboard. Actually its a X - composition with the stone in the center. I like that. The PS blur is fine too. Great shot.

Here's another one given the BW treatment and some grain!

Nice loooong format :D .

This shot is not nearly as good as your first post. I miss the bottom/lake/end whatever here...

BTW I like the cameraposition in the first one. Did you get down on the ground or how...

I looks like a small waterfall..

you're right it isn't nearly as good.

As for the 1st shot I sat myself on a huge boulder that went out into the middle of the river. I rested the camera on the boulder (about 3ft above the water) to keep it steady because I was using a slow shutter speed. I used the cameras in-build ND Filter. I wish I had used an even longer shutter speed now. At one point water splashed up onto the camera and I nearly freaked out. Thankfully the camera is ok!

cheers
Martin.
