That's some pretty impressive rocks you've got there. Was this taken from a boat? If so you've done a very good job with the capture!
Nice one, John. |

Great shot! I bet the large version of this photo looks awesome with the rock detail! I just looked up Jervis Bay on Google earth, you can see this point from the aerial photo as well.

hi
the rock is actually crooked and if you look at the cave on the left side of the photo you can see the hanging rock fall that the site gets its name from . as the photo is a panno there is some distortion . i think this pano combines about 6-7 portrait photos . i took the image at late afternoon with the sun behind me and providing the shadows and contrast. i was anchored on my boat to take this photo . i had just surfaced from a 40m dive at the base of the cliff . peopleactually absale down the cliff face at times . i have also seen fishermen climb down the cliff face in other areas ofpoint perpto go for a fish (mad!) hey bob yes Jervis Bay is a pretty awsome place , we live on the bay and our kitchen window actually looks across to this site . we have dolphins on a regular basis coming up to our boat , and humpback whales migrate along the coast and come into the bay for a rest. thanks for the comments regards matt |
