Hi everyone, here are a few photos from a recent trip to Hog's Back Mountain (Eastern Cape, South Africa). Please let me know which one you think is best...

This was the hardest picture to get because it was such a mission climb to the top of this peak, all the others, you could drive to, but this was after a three hour hike. |

Pic no 3 stands out the best for me. I enjoy the close tuffs of creamy grass and rock and then the contrast of the pinky sunkissedhill in the background. Good shots John. I'm sure you enjoyed the hike into the mountains. Jake and I have never been to Hogsback yet. Perhaps we should give the Kruger a miss one year and venture to the Eastern Cape instead of the Lowveld. Easier said than done!

Hello again Faye, thanks for viewing and commenting.
Hogs Back is a beautiful area. If you ever do plan on visiting, take note that there is a drastic difference based on the season. In winter, the place is covered in snow, in spring there are wild flowers everywhere, in autumn, all the trees loose there leaves and there are alot of yellows and reds and in summer the rivers and waterfalls are massively powerful. |
