Very nice, I like number 4 the best I think. They remind me of home & many happy weekends spent in the lake district.

Hi;
I'm new here. (and I don't know much) I must say that the lake district is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I like the "aria force" pic the best. It is a beautiful shot. I agree that the next one is kind of "dead". The foreground doesn't want to come into focus. Oh, and the reflected water... very nice. Good work. Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada |

not bad not bad...the one that jumped out to me...was the one with the road that you called "dead"
now......the only problem i can find....was it seems blurred.....i think to really get into "serious" photography, you'll want a full out tripod....so that blur wouldn't be a problem.... Vito |

Nice pictures!
I've tried rotating No.3 (Haweswater). I think it looks better rotated 4 degrees clockwise, though 3 degrees isn't bad. I'm attaching the picture rotated 4 degrees. |

nice shots, I like number five the best. The A80 is a pretty good camera really (I helped my parents choose a camera and came down to this one for them, They liked my G3 but chose the A80 as it was more suited to them). The area looks very pretty.

Very nice pictures of one of the most pretty places in England. The images of Haweswater get my vote.
Out of interest i have recently purchased an A80. I am interested to know what settings you used on your camera. Auto, Scene or Manual. What post processing did you use if any ? |

digcamfan, some lakes are swimmable, but Haweswater is off limits as it's a resivoir; don't want to end up coming out someone's tap do we!
The Tadge, I used P mode most often, with ISO at 50, and Manual WB to suit the situation, most of the time. For the blurred waterfall, just used the slow-shutter mode, it ended up being 0.8s. Didn't have time to try my own settings there. |
