Hi
I managed to capture this leaf as it was falling down while walking a forest trail this evening. The light was dim and I had to use flash, still it was underexposed but a little tweak to PS levels fixed that problem. The trunk in the background is a part of the original photo, it wasn't added. The biggest manipulation here is that (as I said) the leaf was brightened and I also desaturated the tree trunk. I would love to know if it works for you.

Regards

Martin.

Very nice. Good capture. What if you cropped out the tree? Just a leaf on dark? Whatever, beautifully done.

Hi Martin;

This is a lovely shot. A little bit of serendipity to catch a leaf in mid-fall. I like the composition with the texture of the tree bark on the right.

One thing, though (and please don't be offended) the correct spelling of "Autumns End" should be "Autumn's End", since we are talking about the end of autumn, (like"Bob's hat"). These days, it seems this kind of thing is acceptable in so many contexts, but with the presentation of the picture so appealing in every other way, it would be a shame to let a tiny error like this detract from it. Apologies if this is in any way offensive.

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada
