Handheld shot using an Minolta A200 picture has been resized and the original was in colour. I prefer theimage in b/w.
Comments, help & tips welcome Robt. |

Excellent. A classic in B/W.

Really nice looking shot. This is just my own personal preference, but the shot may have benefitted from a slightly slower shutterspeed to make the splashes more dramatic, but considering that this was handheld, I think you did brilliantly.

I like it. The froth on the rock to the left gives the impression it is emerging from the ocean which I find adds impact to the photo.
I would probably prefer a tad more contrast in the shot since it seem slightly soft. Aloha |

Thank you for the comments and tips.
Selvin, I agree with you the image does look soft and I will try and add some more contrast and see if I can change this. The original in colour also looks soft. JohnRied, If I slowed the shutter speed down would this have made the splashes look asif they were flowing more, I was trying to freeze the the splash to show the impact of the wave. I will try slowing the shutter speed next time I'm by the cost. Thanks again for your help Robt |

Excellent shot just the way it is. You might want to consider cropping out the shoreline rock in the immediate foreground and see how it looks.
Great perspective, and the ocean spray really adds to it. S.K. |
