I wanted to try out my new ND 106 filter so I went to the 37th Street Esplanade by the East River in Manhattan and took this picture of Long Island City in Queens.
![]() Thank you for looking. C&C welcome. |

Nice sharp image but there is too much sky and water for the small amount of the stuff in the middle.

Should I maybe add some boats and airplanes just kidding...
I think I'm always thinking "next wallpaper" hence the dimensions. I did a crop, mainly top and bottom. Hopefully, it eliminated enough space. #2) ![]() Thanks for the input and compliments. |

Thanks, ronin2307.
I liked the color/temperature it came out in. It looks like a sunset scene when it was taken in the middle of the day. However, I don't think that's the actual color. I think my ND filter made it brownish. I will have to keep that in mind when I use my ND filter. |

Thanks, Torgny and Daniel. I appreciate knowing you like #1 as well as I do.
There's a park there on the other side of the river (Gantry Plaza) with a great view of the Manhattan skyline but I don't know the area. I imagine by the time I took the subway and found my way to the park, I would have already used up my one hour lunch break. |

My niece just got back from NY after 1 year as an aupair. She have taken a lot of great photos to. Although she´s not a photographer. Seems like an exiting city. Best regards/Daniel |
