These are some very tall poplars (?) I shot the other day. Again with a polarizer. The sun was almost down, and made for some nice contrast of trees on sky. Cheers........thekman.

Love the light on those trees!! I never gave a second thought to light before I became interested in photogarphy, it is pretty cool how things change with the light.

Thanks Bob. I too, never really noticed light either before taking up photography. I seem to look at most things differently now. I thought about boosting the saturation and increasing contrast in these 2, but opted not to. What do you think? Would it help these 2? Cheers.......thekman. |

I think the contrast and saturation look good, I do like the second photo of the set best, I think it is a little brighter. Just my opinion, I've only been at this for a couple years, other than trying to make a few encouraging remarks, I really don't feel qualified to give critiques on any ones work.

nice work on these. the yellow makes a nice contrast with the blue sky. i wouldn't mess with saturation or contrast - they're good as they are, and upping the levels might make them look overdone.
by the way, i think those are probably aspens, not poplars... poplars have branches rising from the trunk almost from the ground up, and the branches are almost vertical. |

Thanks for the heads up on the type of tree Squirl. My knowledge of the deciduous trees isn't very good, unless it's a maple.........thekman.
