i like number 3. there is a good balance of foreground and water. wasn't the prettiest of weather conditions unfortunately.

There were lots of ducks and geese but all out of camera range. Yesterday was the first time I ever hand fed blue jays. They actually land in your hand to take the peanuts. Weather was so so. It wasnt cold, but it was foggy and very cloudy. Twenty minutes after I left to go home the sun came out. Go figure.

I really like #2 best, because it has a primary subject - the tree - and the bare twigs of the tree against that dismal sky just emphasizes (now that's a difficult word to spell if you'r mother tongue is not English...) the sadness of the weather and the season of wet, cold and grey! May-be the whole scene would benefit from a B&W or Sepia-tone?

#3 is very good, but I have a feeling that the marshes water will drain out to the right, as the horizon is not level!

#5 and # 6 would have benefited from a somewhat higher point-of-view (If that would have been possible...) to show more of the water-surface.

Or take a sicle with you, next time and cut down the reeds in the front, Bynx....;)

isn't that the truth, i go out on a sunday to shoot, not a cloud in the sky, or raining. next day on the way back from work, perfect textured clouds and a golden sunset......

You have chosen nice sceneries for these pictures and under different weather circumstances I'm sure that they would be very good.

Murky weather can also create fantastic conditions and dramatic atmosphere, but I think that you have overdone the HDR in #1, #3 and #5, making them somewhat artificial instead of dramatic.

Great photos. Natural saturation, as good as the sun. Seems we share at least one favourite motive. Checked my "Grass, reed and rush" folder - 5.7 GiBi

Very inspiring, thank you (Favourites - well (with a barrel to my head), 3 and 4. Why - they are beautiful and no distractions whatsoever)
