Very nice shot, Bill! The plants do look almost alien. I just thinking ... I wonder how the shot would look in infrared? I'm not sure if it wouldwork for the shot & I don't like to play with others' pieces in photoshop but I'm just curious if it would work for this one.

You must have shot further and therefore could add a few more on the grounds of our curious interest in this one I've just googled a little about this unusual place and learned that there were many ancient volcanoes around and that the lake, which was much larger earlier, was originally formed by the melting of the glaciers.
