ok, took a ride over to the park behind/down the street from my house...
went at 6:45...the sun was already up, not very high...but it came up 15 minutes before i went... there was steam fog because the temperature was above the dewpoint, but the wind chill factor was lower than the dewpoint...so yeah....fog ![]() second shot is some dew on a leaf....didn't work out as well as i thought... i REALLY need an upgrade...this G2 doesn't provide the quality i'd like :-\ well...wat do you think? another one...
btw...the shadow problem i mentioned, is, this pond is solidly surrounded by trees, with a couple breaks with "beaches" (haha about 5 feet of sand that angles down). so, the sky is a couple stops brighter than the ground...so, to get any detail in the sky, you have to SEVERLY underexpose the foreground, trees, and the pond.... now, i could expose for the shadows, but the overexposed sky bugs me.. how do you deal with that? my idea (go at sunrise, and catch the opposite side of the sky that sun is on) didn't work... well...thanks for your help... hope you enjoy the pictures Vito |

I think I know what ya mean about the fog, but if you are lucky enough to live near a spot like your last shot its ok. It gives a real feeling of being there.
Once again, very nice photos. |
