I went halfway up one of our local mountains (Cypress), to catch the sunset. There was fog on Georgia Straight which separates the mainland from Vancouver Island. Made for an interesting shot. Comments welcome. Cheers.........thekman.

Thanks Tobias. Yes, we've had some nice sunsets lately, when the sun manages to make it out. Looks like some cooler, but better weather heading out way in the next week or so. I'll be out there shooting if that's the case. Cheers...thekman

Great picture thekman. It reminds me of a view from a vista in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I don't have access to mountains like that so here's something you can try. Try taking a photograph on a night with a full moon with the same kind of cloud cover. I was driving many years ago on one such occasion and the beauty of the silver cloud tops still haunts me today.

That sounds like a real cool idea. Full moon is past, so maybe that opportunity will come next month. It's real easy to get up this mountain. Just a 15 minute drive from my place, and pull into the viewpoint. Lazy mans hike. Lol. thekman.
