This photo has been obtained by combining a matrix of 3x3 shots with Panorama Maker.
When I first tried it with the original 2272x1704 shots it became soon clear to me that my old overclocked Celeron 450 Mhz would have taken eons to perform all of the computations needed to stich this huge monster. So I had to halve the 9 shots to a 1136x852 dimension ( thus reducing the area to 1/4). However , stiching 9 shots it's not one of the best experience in your life. The automatic merge point calculation was not that good so I had to set the 3 points of the 12 boundaries one by one by hand. Even so some exposition and geometric errors occured. So I had to work with clone stamp and color burn tool brush to minimize the errors. Here it comes along with an overview shot of the arc : |
