Please share your likes and dislikes on the following three photos. Also let me know which one of the three you like best and why. These were taken at a remote location here in Central Michigan USA. Thanks.

Overall I prefer the brighter colors in the first picture. I really like the water texture in the second picture along with the lighting on the underside of that huge cloud. looks like the 3rd pic is underexposed...

It's a toss up between 1 and 2. 1 has more of the sun, which is important since the picture is of a sunset, but 2 has deeper softer colours.
How's that for an undecisive decision!! Rose |

All lovely shots Mark. But for me the first is the most effective. It has the most balanced composition in my opinion. The setting sun is the real focal point in this one. As well the jetty in this first capture enters the frame from the corner, and thus is far better positioned to lead us into your frame. I would also be tempted to crop out a little of that sky, as the natural movement of the eye ends up there...not on your focal point. Of course that's just my opinion...I may be wrong :-)

I prefer shot no 1 as well. It looks really well compared the other 2.

first one is the best. the reflection off the water really adds to the shot. the other two look somewhat dull by comparison.
