I had just gone out and bought me a new tripod Friday night. So I decided to go out and set it up to check it out for a little bit... So I get it set out by Wilson Dam to get a shot of the dam, the top of the Renaissance Tower, and the new Mariott Hotel that was just finished this past Fall. All of a sudden I see fireworks... I couldn't belive I was seeing fireworks right after I set up my tripod and in February. I thought it was weird, but I didn't care, I just kept snappin. However the pictures didn't turn out as good as I wanted them to. It was about 32 degrees out that night and the wind was gusting 25-30 mph.. It was obviously blowing the camera around a little bit, so I didn't quite get the clarity that I wanted. They are a little blurry andthe tripod isn't the best tripod in the world, so I won't use it agian in real windy conditions, but I still like the fact that I got lucky and shot some fireworks the first night out with my tripod and DSLR.
