I like trying to catch patterns like this too. IMHO I think if you were to leave slightly more of the distant horizon in the view of the shot, it would have added to the depth of the pattern. Like giving the viewer a better idea of the vastness of the rows. Something else I've had work for me is to get different perspectives, like kneeling down and taking the shot, or from higher up (yes, I have balanced my camera atop a fence or guard rail) just to change the view from eyelevel. You may be surprised how a different perspective on different shots might grab people.
