Just got back from our vacation to the North Shore in MN.
Waterfalls at Gooseberry: ![]() Lighthouse at Split Rock: ![]() More pictures can be found here. I have not touched any of these pictures so some are very dark and other are very over exposed. http://hoeschen.gctci.com/ Any tips on shooting waterfalls without it being either under exposed or over exposed would be appreciated. Other comments are always welcomed. Site has changed, updated with the new site on a faster connection. |

oohh nice....i wonder wat the second one would look like cropped in half, so it's vertical..might look good like that...

Those waterfall pictures were more of a challenge for exposure than I though they would be. I have took several shots with different exposure levels so I can pull them into PS and blend them together. Will have to post my finished work to compare the before and after shots.

very tough call, openess or a boarder... i think i like the boarder of the trees better...1st one gets my vote but a tough choice

I like the cropped second photo best because I can't see what's going on in the first one. I think your camera probably metered on the white in the falls and underexposed. I'd love to see it lightened up.
