I can get the yellow lines off of the road, but the sky is a BIG problem for me. Please post your results. |

I've been having another go at it. It was done by trial and error using a combination of the same programs as before - ACDSee, Irfanview and Photoshop LE - & all I can remember is that it involved about six or seven cut and paste jobs, (plus a lot more that I discarded).

Chuck - The sky was fixed using (for a start) Irfanviw. Irfanview has a function it calls 'Enhance Colors' and it lets you subtract or add Red, Blue and Green.
I tried various degrees of this. When the sky looked blue enough, the rest of the picture looked unnatural of course, but I saved the picture and then called both it and one with the pale sky up in Photoshop, side by side. Then I carefully used the Photoshop Lasoo tool to draw a line round the blue sky and a little of the surrounding foliage. Then I told Photoshop to copy the part I'd lassood. Finally, I used the Photoshop paste command to paste the blue sky over the pale sky in the other picture, being careful to align it as exactly as I could. I hope this all makes sense? |

You can do it with Paintshop Pro's colour replacer (or similar tool in other packages)
Use the eyedropper to select a colour from the sky. Set the replacement colour to a suitable blue chosen in the colour picker. Set tolerance to about 40 and a large brush. Just paint over all the blue bits to replace with the selected colour. ![]() If you replace with a gradient, you get a more realistic result. fenlander ![]() |
