I've been experimenting with infrared a bit. I took this picture with my Minolta D-7 with an infrared filter, and then I turned it into a duotone in photoshop.
![]() You can see the original before I converted it to a duotone here:http://www.digital-visions.biz/photos/infrared/index.htm |

Thanks, I'm hoping that I can find some more places that I can try the infrared filter on.

ooooh how I love these infrared. Thanks for sharing
![]() How does the filter work? Is it good? What filter do you have? Does the picture blur a bit? |

I used an 87 filter from Tiffen. It only allows infrared light through so you can't see through it without the camera. Since it cuts out almost all of the visible light, exposure times are pretty long so you usually need a tripod (I didn't have a tripod with me when I took this picture, so I used a tree to steady the camera).

Wow, that is a gorgeous picture! It's very creative and almost looks like snow! Although, I dont think deciduous trees would keep their leaves throughout a winter. But mmm, snow, only5 months and counting til it comes back.
