And what a delight it was!!! This is what greeted us at the end of being stuck for 3 days in a small bay on Great Slave Lake, waiting out a storm.

Thanks digcamfan, and sorry to disappoint you. This was July 2002 and the ice had just gone out. Last year went up again at the same time and couldn't get out there cause the ice hadn't yet all melted. But that's the time to go, just as the ice has melted. The water is ccccold and the fishing is fantastic.
