This isn't the greatest snap I've ever taken but I thought I'd show it you. It's especially for those who live in dry, arid countries. Remember it's mid June and has been warm - look how green and lush it is. No post processing to enhance the green, it really is this green over here.
Taken at the front of a stately home (Errdig) in north Wales last Sunday afternoon. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...77352620VDXdMc |

Nice shot Steve. You're right - maybe we're gifted anyway by living here up north in these green countries with strong seasons you can see and smell.
But it's nice to travel to the warm countries, it's just that after some time down there I begin to miss the fresh and clear air. (ooops - got a bit sentimental there, didn't I!) This is one from the north of Sealand (the main isle). The temperature were 28 deg. Celcius - just look at it. ![]() (Okay it rains once in a while   ) |

I don't think I could bear it too hot all the time with a brown withered landscape. |

BTW, nice pic, looks a nice place to chill-out.
The problem over here is when it gets really hot it also gets very very humid and sticky. |

Yes I agree Steve. That was what I meant about the "strong seasons". I just love the colours of the fall and the light of spring and the snow of winter and.... you know what I mean!

Steve,
It's been so dry in many of the islands here that we wish we could see some green landscape like in your pictures. The sugar cane folks have been laying off workers because of the arid conditions these last couple of years. Only a a few of the islands have no problems. Lovely shot. Brings back memories when I was in UK in 1995. Wish I had a digital camera back then. I lost my camera on train to Stonehenge. Had to go next day to Harrods to get a replacement. Still, fond memories of the emerald isles. Aloha. |
