I love the silhouette effect around the clouds, nice work.
I wouldn’t worry too much about digitally signing your work. Some people use a watermarking scheme to blend the signature in; others just write it in one of the corners. A more secure approach is to encode your signature into the picture and have it completely invisible except to yourself, but that’s a bit more work =) Alternatively if you own Windows XP, you can set metadata (file information) to specify the author without compromising the quality of the image. Personally if I like an image enough to set it as my desktop wallpaper, I’ll brush out any author name or whatnot so the image is more appealing. Basically, it’s easy to alter the image itself, it’s not so obvious to remove metadata and it’s nigh impossible to remove any encoded signature without seriously damaging the image. Just some thoughts for you if you want to know of some ways to better protect your files. |

Hi Majestic Twelve...
Nice thought...great theme of "homeward bound." As far as your name goes...unless you are selling your photos...you can do quite well with a very small file size on the web which makes it more difficult for someone to "steal" your photo for nefarious poiposes (spelling incorrect by design ![]() ![]() |
